(Molly Skye Brown at the RAINN Headquarters in Washington DC)
This past April, I had the honor of joining RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) in Washington D.C. for their National Congressional Day of Action. Alongside a group of courageous fellow survivors, I shared my story with members of Congress, advocating for protection, justice, and reform.

Our group met with Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Rep. Lucy McBath, Rep. Laurel Lee, Rep. Jerrold Nadler, and Rep. Nancy Mace, and/or their offices, pouring our hearts out, and sharing our experiences of sexual abuse. We spoke of the long-lasting impact, the struggles, and our immediate needs. We emphasized the value in legislative action to support survivors and hold perpetrators accountable.

RAINN's National Congressional Day of Action was a powerful reminder that our voices matter. By sharing our stories, we humanize the statistics and bring attention to the urgent need for change. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have made my voice heard and to have stood alongside fellow survivors who are equally passionate about creating a safer, more just society.
Together, we can make a difference. Let's continue to amplify survivor voices and push for meaningful reform.
